I would love to have an impossible conversation with Ann Demeulemeester. I understand that maybe not everyone heard about her, and it is because she is not as famous as Prada or Chanel. However, it does not mean that she is not good. In my mind, she is an awesome designer. From her design, we can see how a simple T-shirt can be one of the special things in the world. The patterns on the T-shirt are so creative and amazing.

Also, I can see what she want to tell from a pair of shoes or any other things. And it affect me a lot. I believe that a good designer should have a ability of transmit a life style from his/her design to people. Ann's designs are simple but not bored. I learned "simple is the best" from her. She can always makes a simple thing not simple but special, and one thing that I love her most is she never use exaggerated things to make her designs special. What she does is focus on the details to make it special. It is so hard to make a simple thing become an awesome design. But Ann make it.

I learn so many things from Ann. Unquestionable, she is a excellent fashion designer and affects many other fashion designers. I love everything that Ann designed, love her life style(simple), and love who she is(a great woman). Design is an attitude. In my future design(if I really can be a fashion designer one day), I will put all my opinions about life, people, and the world in my designs just like what Ann do. I want to tell people about my thoughts from my designs. I believe that the works of fashion designers are their spirit, what they create can show who they are.

All in all,
Ann Demeulemesster is awesome and amazing as always.

Quotes:

”When you can feel the soul of a designer in their work, its interesting, its work with a vision.” - Ann Demeulemeester

"There are the things you are missing, things you would like to have but cannot find, and little by little you come to discover there are people like you who are also missing certain things. You try to create for them, as well as for yourself. That’s how things start. I always tell myself, ‘I would like to have something like that, but it can’t be like that,’ and so on. You try to create because you want to find answers and, on finding the answers, you find something new that you can make.”  — Ann Demeulemeester, 2006 GQ Style Interview
